How to get there from the airport by public transport
- Take an S1 S-Bahn in the direction of Düsseldorf-Zentrum to the Derendorf stop. Change to a 701 (or 711) tram in the direction of Benrath (Südpark, Uni) to the second stop (Münsterplatz) or approx. 10 minutes on foot.
- or take a 721 bus in the direction of Gothaer Weg to the Münsterstrasse/ Feuerwache (fire station) stop and approx. 5 minutes on foot.
from the main station by public transport
- Take a 704 tram in the direction of Merzigerstrasse to the St.-Vinzenz-Krankenhaus (hospital) stop and approx. 2 minutes on foot.
- or take a 707 tram in the direction of Unterrath to the Essener Strasse stop and approx. 5 minutes on foot.
- or a 721 bus in the direction of the airport (Flughafen) to Münsterstrasse/ Feuerwache (fire station) and approx. 5 minutes on foot.
- or a 752, 754 or 755 long-distance bus in the direction of Mühlheim Hbf, Ratingen and Tiefenbroich to Münsterstrasse/Feuerwache (fire station) and St.-Vinzenz-Krankenhaus (hospital) and approx. 3-5 minutes on foot.
How to get there by car
from the north: A3 autobahn, Breitscheid exit, take the A52 up to the end = Nördlicher Zubringer (B1) bear to the right to Münsterstr., turn left into Euler Str.
from the east: A1 autobahn, Wuppertal-Nord exit, take the A46 up to exit 24 Düsseldorf-Zentrum, then straight through Düsseldorf in a northerly direction: B8 Witzel Strasse past the university, a half-turn to the right into Mecumstrasse, Erasmusstrasse, Cornelius Strasse, then take a half-turn to the right into Karl-Rudolf-Strasse, turn left at Oststrasse into Tonhallen Strasse, Jacobi Strasse, Prinz-Georg-Strasse, and finally Euler Strasse.
from the south: A3 autobahn, Hilden exit, bear left onto the A46 up to exit 24 Düsseldorf-Zentrum, and then the same as above.
from the west: Follow the A52 until it changes into the B7, over the Rheinbrücke bridge and through an underpass, take the first right into Ulmenstrasse, then turn into Euler Strasse.
from the south-west: Take the A46 up to autobahn intersection Neuss-West, turn right onto the A57 (Neusser Ring) and go over the Südbrücke (=Josef-Kardinal-Frings-Brücke) bridge, go left into Völklinger Strasse and through the Rheinufertunnel, along Hofgartenufer, from Cecilienallee to the right into Klever Strasse, Jülicher Str., then turn left into Münsterstr. and turn right into Euler Str.
